La Valle’s signature San Marzano tomatoes are harvested at the height of maturity and carefully preserved in state-of-the-art facilities according to time-honored traditions carried on by the descendants of founder Alfonso Sellitto.
 
To be D.O.P. the tomatoes need to come from a more specific area around Mount Vesuvius where the tomatoes are grown, label has to have specific wording, include serial numbers and DOP stamps.

How do I properly store canned tomatoes after opening?

If you do not use all contents in canned items be sure to transfer to a air tight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
